Is it important to have a fitness coach?

ABSOLUTELY!  As a Fitness Coach my goal is to help my clients achieve specific fitness goals effectively, efficiently, and without injury. Often times working with a coach can push a person’s fitness level forward much more quickly than them working out on their own.

There are multiple potential benefits personal training:

Goal Achievement:

A Fitness Coach helps you define individual fitness goals and creates a roadmap to get there. Taking into account your current fitness level and discussing what you ultimately want to achieve. A Fitness professional helps you focus first on the smaller realistically attainable goals, holding you accountable and building you up in order to achieve the larger long rang goal. 

Personalized Workout:

Fitness Coaches create a specific workout plan just for you based on the goals you want to achieve. This is not routines that you would find in a fitness book or magazine. The plan is personalized and tailored to your personal goals and needs. The plan considers your current physical condition and medical background. The Fitness Coach will make accommodations to the program to fit your specific needs.


A Fitness Coach teaches the proper way to perform each exercise movement in your routine. Understanding that performing exercises properly reduces your risk of injury and increases the movement’s efficacy which increases the likelihood that you will do it on your own at home or at the gym after your sessions. Coaches demonstrate the movements, while coaching you through it, and corrects any issues with your posture or technique


Motivation is often difficult to maintain when you exercise on your own. Regular sessions with a Fitness Coach create accountability, which is a real motivator to not let down yourself or your coach. Not to mention the confidence that you develop from seeing your progress and the coaches encouragements.

When you exercise on your own, it is easier to lack off a session here and there or give up completely since there’s no one to hold you accountable. When you work with a coach you are far more likely to show up and do the work.

Fitness Coaching Consultation

During this meeting we will review your medical and exercise history, and perform a fitness assessment to establish your baseline fitness level. Then we will discuss and develop a weekly fitness coaching schedule based on the client’s need and ability.
